About The Position
Total Extended Care Services is seeking a dedicated Physiatrist (MD/DO) to join their growing Physical Medicine and Rehab group. This role involves partnering with a team of APPs in a sub-acute rehab setting, focusing on improving patient outcomes and working within an interdisciplinary, specialized team. The position offers collaboration with Board-Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physicians and other trained healthcare professionals. It is ideal for those passionate about enhancing patient functionality and satisfaction in senior living communities, with a focus on on-site pain management to reduce re-admission rates and ensure optimal patient care through coordination with medical providers.
Requirements
- Licensed MD/DO (Required)
- Must be licensed in TN
- Reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- PM &R Board Certified (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Partner with the facility's therapy department to provide the best possible rehab care.
- Communication and collaboration with the patient's primary care team to ensure the best outcomes.
- Timely charting/documentation is required but can be done from home.
- Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are providing PM & R services in a sub-acute setting.
- Audit documentation to ensure it meets company standards.
