About The Position
Total Extended Care Services is seeking a dedicated Physiatrist (MD/DO) to join their growing Physical Medicine and Rehab group. The role involves partnering with a team of APPs in a sub-acute rehab setting, focusing on improving patient outcomes and working within an interdisciplinary, specialized team. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with Board-Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physicians and other trained healthcare professionals. The physiatrist will help improve patient functionality and satisfaction in senior living communities, provide on-site pain management to reduce re-admission rates, and coordinate care with medical providers for optimal patient outcomes. The role emphasizes a flexible schedule and a detail-oriented, outcome-focused, stable, people-oriented, and team-oriented culture.
Requirements
- Licensed MD/DO (Required)
- Must be licensed in TN
- Reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- PM &R Board Certified (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Partner with the facility's therapy department to provide the best possible rehab care.
- Communication and collaboration with the patient's primary care team to ensure the best outcomes.
- Timely charting/documentation is required but can be done from home.
- Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are providing PM & R services in a sub-acute setting.
- Audit documentation to ensure it meets company standards.
