Physiatrist - EMG / Electrodiagnostics
About The Position
Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates (CNSA), a strategic partner of Atrium Health, is recruiting a board-certified Physiatrist (PM&R) for a diagnostics-focused role supporting a dedicated EMG/nerve conduction service across a busy neurosurgical and physiatry practice. The role focuses on common radiculopathy, neuropathy, myopathy, and entrapment referrals from a high-volume spine and neurosurgery pipeline. The position is within an established practice with a built-in, high-volume referral base and the infrastructure of a large multispecialty group. The practice includes EMG/NCS diagnostics and associated clinical practice. Work is four days per week, with no weekends, call, or holiday coverage, at two Charlotte-area office locations. Scheduling is flexible within the standard workweek.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Demonstrated experience performing and interpreting EMG/NCS for common musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions.
- Active or eligible North Carolina medical license.
- Strong communication skills for direct collaboration with referring neurosurgeons and physiatrists.
Nice To Haves
- Subspecialty board certification in Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM).
Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret EMG/NCS studies for common musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions.
- Provide associated clinical practice.
- Collaborate directly with referring neurosurgeons and physiatrists.
