About The Position
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physiatrist to join our Rehabilitation Medicine division at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. Harlem Hospital is a significant healthcare provider in Central Harlem and the sole Safety Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan, recognized for its centers of excellence in Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging, and Sexual Assault Forensics. Requirements
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Active or eligible for a New York State medical license
Nice To Haves
- Experience with EMG/NCS, Botox, joint/trigger point and hyaluronic acid injections
- Experience with pediatric rehabilitation
- Experience with wheelchair/orthotic/prosthetic clinics
- Experience with acupuncture
- Experience with musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Strong communication skills
- Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized rehabilitation programs to optimize functional outcomes.
- Lead and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PTs, OTs, speech therapists, nurses, and support staff.
- Collaborate closely with three other physiatrists to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care.
