About The Position

The Phuture Phoenix Director provides visionary leadership for the Phuture Phoenix pre-college program, advancing access, equity, and student success across Northeast Wisconsin. This role oversees program design, instruction, policy and procedure development, daily operations, budgeting and scholarships, staff supervision, and campus visit coordination, while ensuring strong compliance and continuous evaluation. This position teaches pre-requisite courses in Professional Program in Education to prepare Phuture Phoenix tutors and mentors, manages field placements, and plans campus visits. The Phuture Phoenix Director builds meaningful partnerships that strengthen pre-college pathways and prepare students to be successful in their higher education endeavors.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education or related field
  • 5 years successful teaching experience, educational administration, or education program management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in current issues and trends in education
  • Excellent teaching skills
  • Knowledge of event planning, public relations, fundraising, and budget management

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a higher education
  • PK-12 licensure in ELL and/or Bilingual/Bi-cultural
  • Bilingual competency in Spanish, Hmong, Oneida, or Somali

Responsibilities

  • Oversees design, drafting, and scheduling of program specific materials and resources for an educational pre-college program
  • Manages operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and pre-college program unit objectives
  • Develops, facilitates, and evaluates educational pre-college program content and materials
  • Supervises Phuture Phoenix Staff
  • Instructs EDUC 208/209 (a campus class to train Phuture Phoenix tutors/mentors) or course needs in education
  • Monitors field placement; assigns students to schools, meets with school contacts, Primary Program at elementary schools, College Bound at High Schools
  • Oversees 5th and 8th grade campus visit planning, communication, marketing
  • Promotes and maintains internal and external partnerships
