PHP Group Therapist (Master's Degree Required)
About The Position
Highlands Behavioral Health System is an 86-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Littleton, Colorado, serving adults and seniors through inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. The PHP Group Therapist is a core clinical provider in a structured, intensive behavioral health program for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. The therapist provides evidence-based group psychotherapy and psychoeducation, conducts clinical assessments, monitors patient safety and treatment response, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support patient stabilization and improvement.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work or a related field such as counseling or psychology.
- At least one year of experience working with the population served.
- CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
- Successful completion of Handle with Care training; certification training may be obtained during new-hire orientation.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
- LCSW or LPC licensure preferred; candidates eligible for licensure may be considered with appropriate background and experience.
- Some experience with substance use or abuse is desirable.
