About The Position

Lightology LLC is seeking a creative, talented, and technically savvy PHP Full-Stack Developer with strong programming, database, and web application development skills. The developer will participate in all stages of front-end and back-end component development for the company’s custom websites and web applications. A strong background in web development and object-oriented programming is required. The position is full-time in Chicago, Illinois, and pays $70,000–$80,000 per year. It reports to the Chief eCommerce Officer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with at least one front-end framework, such as jQuery, React, or Vue.js.
• Experience with at least one back-end language, such as PHP, Python, or Java.
• Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Bootstrap, SASS, and responsive design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong web development and object-oriented programming background.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience with web development.
• Experience collaborating in a development team.
• Experience with version control, such as Git or SVN.
