About The Position

The Photolithography Process Technician sustains daily manufacturing operations in the photolithography department. The role operates, monitors, and troubleshoots ASML steppers and scanners alongside TEL (Tokyo Electron) track systems to support product quality, tool uptime, and yield targets. Work is performed on 12-hour compressed work week shifts. The technician executes production runs, monitors process performance, qualifies equipment for production after maintenance or downtime, and performs first-line troubleshooting. The role also uses metrology tools to verify critical dimensions and alignment, manages wafer rework and documentation, and collaborates with Equipment Technicians and Process Engineers. The technician follows cleanroom, chemical safety, and hazardous-material procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working inside a semiconductor cleanroom environment.
  • Hands-on experience operating ASML steppers/scanners and TEL track systems.
  • Familiarity with photolithography manufacturing execution systems (MES), basic SPC software, and recipe selection for automated lithography clusters.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry wafer pods in a cleanroom for the duration of a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to work scheduled days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Execute production runs according to standard operating procedures and manage wafer lots through TEL track coater/developer modules and ASML exposure tools.
  • Monitor SPC charts, identify and flag out-of-control or out-of-specification events, and contain affected processes or product.
  • Qualify photolithography equipment for production after maintenance or downtime.
  • Perform first-line troubleshooting of track fluidics, wafer handling errors, focus/exposure offsets, and overlay misalignments.
  • Use CD-SEM, overlay measurement systems, and automated defect inspection tools to verify critical dimensions and alignment accuracy; dispose of wafers according to predefined criteria.
  • Identify lithography printing failures, initiate wafer rework procedures such as resist strip and clean, and document root causes.
  • Work with Equipment Technicians and Process Engineers to resolve complex ASML/TEL tool failures.
  • Provide clear, detailed shift handovers across alternating teams.
  • Follow cleanroom protocols, including wearing a full bunny suit, and comply with chemical safety and hazardous-material procedures.
