About The Position

Micron Technology, Inc., a world leader in memory and storage solutions, is seeking a Photolithography Process Development Engineer for its Advanced DRAM Technology Development team. This role offers significant opportunities for innovation and collaboration in developing cutting-edge Advanced DRAM. The engineer will work closely with Process Integration and other process areas, utilizing state-of-the-art lithography equipment to define and execute the process roadmap, aiming to achieve program and yield goals. Requirements

  • BS with 3+ years of relevant semiconductor experience.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues through root-cause or model-based problem solving.
  • Working knowledge in statistics, preferably in statistical process control.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal direction, and a focus on meeting commitments.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Data science and programming experience or coursework.
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools.
  • Able to thrive in a research and development environment.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong digital literacy, including MS Office.
  • MS / PhD in a related field specific to semiconductor R&D.

Responsibilities

  • Developing photo processes to meet the physical & electrical requirements of Micron’s products.
  • Optimizing photo processes to reduce cost, process variability, and improve process capability.
  • Leading a particular module within next generation storage device development.
  • Developing new, manufacturing-friendly photolithography processes that enable physical and electrical architecture with lithography technology, including 365nm, 248nm, and 193nm immersion lithography.
  • Engaging with equipment and material vendors on new solutions to overcome process challenges.
  • Documenting and communicating plans, status, and results of projects in written reports and presentations.
  • Collaborating with process integration and other process development teams to develop innovative new solutions.
  • Conducting root cause and failure mode analysis to understand the limitations of current materials and hardware and driving vendors for solutions.
  • Maintaining a technology development pilot manufacturing line.
  • Supporting process transfer to production facilities (some domestic and/or international travel may be required).
