About The Position

This summer internship position focuses on photolithography equipment within the semiconductor industry. The intern will assist senior engineers and maintenance technicians in various aspects of equipment design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance. The role involves research, data analysis, and supporting factory experiments to minimize factory impacts. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in technical reviews, and documentation of project progress are key components of this role. The intern will learn and apply industry-standard tools and methodologies, preparing technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering.
  • Eagerness for hands-on experience working directly on semiconductor equipment.
  • Strong academic record and a genuine interest in semiconductors, electronics, or embedded systems.
  • Basic understanding of statistical process control and six sigma concepts.
  • Basic understanding of digital and/or analog electronics concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
  • Must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term. If graduating prior to July 2027, apply to Entry Level full-time roles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers in the design, development, and testing of semiconductor products and solutions.
  • Assist senior engineers or maintenance technicians with hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Assist maintenance technicians with PMs and other routine maintenance.
  • Conduct research, data analysis, and documentation related to ongoing CIP projects.
  • Support factory activities, including setting up and performing experiments, collecting data, analyzing, and interpreting results to drive down factory impacts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Participate in technical reviews and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
  • Learn and apply industry-standard tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support engineering initiatives.
