Photography Internship-St. Louis Post-Dispatch
About The Position
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is seeking a paid photo/video intern for the fall and spring to assist with news and sports coverage, and to tell dynamic stories. The internship will provide the opportunity to cover breaking news, college and professional sports (including NHL, MLS, and major college games), features, and portraits. The intern will be expected to create both still images and engaging videos, working with urgency for digital platforms while also developing visual stories. The role is part of a collaborative visual team that includes award-winning members. The internship runs from October through the end of March.
Requirements
- Excitement about finding and telling stories visually, including single photos as well as short stories.
- Keen interest in how you see and compose photos.
- Technical proficiency and interest in how that improves visual storytelling.
- An audience-first mindset.
- Include a link to an online portfolio that demonstrates visual skills in news, features, sports, portraits, lighting, and storytelling.
