About The Position

A/U Ranches is seeking seasonal photographers in Buena Vista, Colorado, to document camp life and support the organization’s mission and vision. Two photographers, one at Sky Valley Ranch and one at Round-Up Ranch, will work with a lead photographer to capture, edit, and upload program, cabin, and camp-wide moments. The job details list the salary range as undisclosed. The posting also describes separate Lead Photographer and Videographer Intern roles; their duties are not part of the Photographer position described here.

Requirements

• Demonstrated commitment to Christian Science.
• At least 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent at the time of employment.
• Uphold high moral and ethical standards.
• Knowledge and experience working with a digital camera.
• Knowledge of photo composition.
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, or comparable photo-editing software.
• Working knowledge of digital slideshow software.
• Ability to work independently, with a strong work ethic and initiative.
• Enthusiasm for working with young people with love, patience, and consistency.
• Ability to flexibly support a variety of areas as needs arise.
• Ability to accompany and participate in outdoor adventure and recreational activities to take photographs.
• Ability to live in a cabin with campers and/or other staff.

Nice To Haves

• Previous camp photography experience and/or post-secondary coursework in a related field.
• Applicants will be asked to provide samples of their photography during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Capture camp program, cabin, and camp-wide moments.
• Edit and upload photographs.
• Work with a lead photographer.
• Take photographs while accompanying and participating in outdoor adventure and recreational activities, such as hiking 14ers, whitewater rafting, and horseback riding.
• Live in a cabin with campers and/or other staff.
