About The Position
Entravision is looking for a versatile Editor / Camera Operator to join our national Spanish-language streaming news team. This hybrid role is ideal for a visual storyteller who is equally comfortable behind the camera and in the edit suite, producing compelling content for streaming, broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a camera operator, editor, or multimedia journalist in a television newsroom, streaming, or digital news environment.
- Fluent, near-native Spanish speaking and writing skills are required.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and modern non-linear editing systems.
- Strong visual storytelling skills and creative editing style.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and in high-pressure breaking news situations.
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel on assignment.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during major breaking news coverage.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to operate company vehicles, when required.
Responsibilities
- Shoot high-quality video in the field and in studio for news stories, live events, interviews, special projects, and breaking news.
- Edit daily news content, including reporter packages, interviews, features, promos, and digital-first content.
- Collaborate closely with producers, reporters, writers, and graphic designers to create engaging visual storytelling.
- Operate professional broadcast cameras, lighting, audio, and related production equipment.
- Capture compelling video, natural sound, and interviews that strengthen storytelling.
- Edit content with strong pacing, creativity, and attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines.
- Adapt quickly to breaking news and changing editorial priorities.
- Ensure all content meets Entravision's editorial, technical, and production standards.
- Assist with live field productions and special event coverage as needed.
- Maintain and properly care for assigned production equipment.
