About The Position

Free People is looking for a Photo Studio Intern to join us for the Summer. Our photo studio intern will assist daily with the on-going, ever-changing excitement of our studios. Assisting with product sample preparation, shoot set up, collaboration and trend research. About the Summer Internship Program:Each summer, URBN Inc. welcomes candidates from across the country to immerse themselves within various teams across our portfolio of brands and gain hands-on learning experience in the area of business they choose to pursue. Our paid internship program also offers a summer full of internfocused events, including exposure to senior leadership through small-group settings, insight into company initiatives, off-site field trips, and, for those who qualify, the opportunity to interview for a full-time position. See for yourself what our past and present interns are up to @urbncareers! The URBN 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/7 through 8/13 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA. Summer Internship Program Application Process: Apply to one (1) internship posting that best aligns with your interests and skills. If there is a project component included in the application (see role qualifications below), it is required and must be submitted at the time of application to be considered for the position. Complete a Video Interview: Candidates selected to move forward will receive an email with a link to complete a video interview. Once the email is received, candidates will have two (2) days to complete this portion of the application. Interviews with our internal teams will be scheduled on a rolling basis. Applications will close at 5:00 PM EST on October 30, 2026.

Requirements

Understanding of existing shooting processes for high volume production of all photography
Ability to operate a digital camera and other equipment (tripod stands, strobe lights, etc.)
Proficient at operating MAC computer and Capture One
Detail oriented, creative thinker, passionate about photography, and eager to learn
Strong communication, time management, and prioritization skills
In addition to your application and resume, to be considered for this role please submit a Free People Campaign Concept Board (8.5 X 11 PDF format is preferred)
Once you complete your project, please upload it, along with your portfolio, to the additional documents section in the application process.
Create a concept board for a Fall 2027 Free People Product Campaign. Please include imagery you think best represents the Free People brand, including product and art direction inspiration.
Pull tears of imagery from Streetwear, Pinterest, Social, runway, etc. to show your point of view.
We are looking for forward thinkers showing future inspirational trends that move beyond where we are currently or where we have been, so show us fun trends we should have in our assortment!
Our team is inspired by story telling and art direction so please make this as visually creative and compelling as you want!
This is the creative part of the application - so have fun with it!

Responsibilities

Assist in set up and tear down of studio equipment, sets, and lighting fixtures
Oversee equipment inventory and inspect to ensure all is fully operational
Organize and properly size incoming photos in preparation for retouching
Collaborate with team for upcoming creative shoots by offering ideas, tears, locations, etc.
Assist with digital technology needs
