About The Position

The Photo Editor Virtual Assistant supports a client by editing and retouching photographs to achieve a polished, natural, consistent, and publication-ready finish. The role involves working with fashion, glamour, swimsuit, editorial, magazine-quality, or similar photography as required, while following the client’s preferred editing style and project specifications. The successful candidate should provide a strong portfolio demonstrating professional photo-editing and retouching skills, maintain organized project files, communicate about requirements and feedback, and make revisions as needed. Video editing may be added as the client’s needs expand. The position is 100% work from home, Monday through Friday, during night-shift US business hours; it may be full-time or part-time depending on client requirements. Compensation is $5 per hour.

Requirements

Proven hands-on experience in professional photo editing and image retouching.
Strong proficiency in professional photo-editing software or tools.
Ability to produce high-quality, polished, publication-ready images.
Strong attention to detail and consistency in image editing.
A strong portfolio showcasing relevant photo-editing and retouching work.
Ability to follow specific editing instructions and adapt to a client’s preferred visual style.
Experience handling detailed retouching and maintaining a consistent visual style across multiple images.
Good communication skills and ability to understand and implement client feedback.
Ability to review edited images carefully and maintain consistent quality standards.
Reliability and a detail-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

Experience with fashion, glamour, swimsuit, editorial, magazine, or similar photography.
Video-editing experience; the role may expand to include video-editing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Edit and retouch photographs to achieve a professional, polished, publication-ready finish.

Perform detailed retouching and image adjustments according to client requirements.
Maintain consistent editing style, image quality, and presentation across projects.
Work with fashion, glamour, swimsuit, editorial, or similar photography as required.
Review edited images for imperfections, inconsistencies, and areas needing adjustment.
Ensure final images meet the client’s quality expectations and preferred visual style.
Follow client instructions and project specifications, and apply consistent editing techniques across images.
Make revisions based on client feedback and editing requirements.
Keep completed images polished, organized, and ready for their intended use; maintain organized project files as required.
Manage editing tasks efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency.
Provide a strong portfolio demonstrating photo-editing and retouching capabilities, including relevant examples where available.
Communicate professionally about editing requirements, feedback, and revisions.
Potentially assist with video editing as the client’s needs expand, learning the client’s preferred workflow if required.
