Since 1965, we have proudly served more than 60 communities throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Our services include professional photography, an in-house print press, binding, yearbooks, customized products, and portraits. Our mission is to create lasting memories by capturing moments in time. We are looking for a talented Photo Editor who shares these values and takes pride in producing high-quality images and products for our customers. The Photo Editor is responsible for editing, enhancing, and preparing photographs for production while maintaining Harmann Studios' high standards for quality, consistency, and visual presentation. This position plays an important role in transforming photographs into finished products that create a Superior Experience for our customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. Also, this candidate would be excited as they transform our photography into something special and be displayed in thousands of Wisconsin homes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in photo editing, graphic design, photography, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom required; experience with InDesign and Illustrator is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of color correction, image composition, retouching, and digital file preparation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to accept and incorporate feedback.
  • Creative problem solving skills and an interest in learning new techniques and technologies.
  • Has a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced production environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with InDesign and Illustrator is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed color correction, cropping, retouching, and image enhancement to ensure photographs meet quality standards.
  • Prepare photographs for a variety of products, including portraits, memory books, yearbooks, print materials, and customized products.
  • Utilize Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, and other industry-standard software for photo editing and production.
  • Follow client-specific editing and production requirements.
  • Ensure images are properly sized, formatted, named, and organized for production.
  • Assist with the preparation of images and graphics for marketing materials, brochures, flyers, banners, social media, and other company projects.
  • Able to meet deadlines with prioritizing workflow while maintaining a frame of mind to exceed customer/team member expectations
  • Work closely with photographers, designers, production staff, and other team members to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of Harmann Studios.
