About The Position

Harmann Studios Inc. is a premier family-owned professional photography studio located in De Pere, Wisconsin, serving over 60 communities in Northeast Wisconsin since 1965. The Photo Editor is responsible for editing, enhancing, and preparing photographs for production, maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and visual presentation. This role is crucial in transforming photographs into finished products that provide a Superior Experience for customers. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, creative, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment, with the excitement of transforming photography for display in Wisconsin homes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in photo editing, graphic design, photography, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom required.
  • Experience with InDesign and Illustrator is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of color correction, image composition, retouching, and digital file preparation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to accept and incorporate feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed color correction, cropping, retouching, and image enhancement to ensure photographs meet quality standards.
  • Prepare photographs for a variety of products, including portraits, memory books, yearbooks, print materials, and customized products.
  • Utilize Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, and other industry-standard software for photo editing and production.
  • Follow client-specific editing and production requirements.
  • Ensure images are properly sized, formatted, named, and organized for production.
  • Assist with the preparation of images and graphics for marketing materials, brochures, flyers, banners, social media, and other company projects.
  • Meet deadlines with prioritizing workflow while maintaining a frame of mind to exceed customer/team member expectations.
  • Work closely with photographers, designers, production staff, and other team members to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of Harmann Studios.
