About The Position

Tutors will support phonics instruction to build foundational reading skills in an elementary school setting. The program will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays four hours per day, during the school day.

Requirements

• Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
• Available to work 10-35 hours per week at assigned school(s).
• Passion for Learning: Dedicated to supporting academic and personal success, especially for underserved students.
• Collaborative Spirit: Ready to work alongside teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects like Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Regents exam prep.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies that help students thrive academically and personally.
• Support phonics instruction to build foundational reading skills.
