The Baylor Scott & White Health Phlebotomy Training Program is meticulously designed to serve as a foundational pathway for individuals aspiring to become skilled phlebotomists within the BSWH system. This program emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to ensure participants are well-prepared for real-world clinical environments. Candidates who successfully complete all program requirements will be considered for full-time, permanent employment opportunities within Baylor Scott & White Health; however, please note that employment is contingent upon availability and is not guaranteed. This intensive 8-week program requires a commitment of approximately 35-40 hours per week, combining interactive virtual classroom instruction with supervised clinical practice. The curriculum is divided into two key components: the first 4 weeks focus on virtual learning modules covering essential phlebotomy techniques, safety protocols, and patient interaction skills, while the subsequent 4 weeks provide on-site clinical experience to apply these skills in a healthcare setting. Participants must have reliable internet access and a computer to successfully engage with the virtual portion of the training. Here at Baylor Scott & White Health we promote the well-being of all individuals, families, and communities. Baylor Scott and White is the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas that empowers you to live well. Our Core Values are: We serve faithfully by doing what's right with a joyful heart.
