About The Position
The Phlebotomy Technician Per Diem Evenings will be responsible for accurately registering outpatients, obtaining blood samples, and performing EKGs. This role requires demonstrating knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and level of difficulty of the patient (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics). The technician will perform routine and assigned functions under the direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and/or designee.
Requirements
- Medical Terminology, ICD 10 coding and CRT data experience strongly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of third party payer, federal and state regulations desired.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic team player.
- Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) preferred.
