LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Team Lead to join their team in San Antonio, TX. The role involves providing coverage and performing phlebotomy duties, assisting in the supervision of a team of phlebotomists, performing site inspections, providing training, managing patient flow, and addressing customer service issues. The Phlebotomy Team Lead may be eligible for participation in a quarterly incentive bonus program based on performance metrics. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pass a standardized color blindness test
• Be 21 years of age and have a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

• 1 or more years of experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 or more years of experience in a coordinator, lead or supervisory role
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy job duties
• Assist in the supervision of a team of phlebotomists covering and traveling to multiple Patient Service Centers & client sites
• Observe new employee performance and report observations to the supervisor
• Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings
• Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed
• Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
• Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
• Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and making schedule adjustments as needed
• Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
• Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed
