Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Washington State issued Phlebotomy license (MA-P)
  • Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, techniques, and role responsibilities
  • Pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be 21 years of age
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree
  • 1 or more years of experience as a phlebotomist
  • 1 or more years of experience in a coordinator, lead or supervisory role
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program

Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage and travel to various sites in the Phoenix metro area to perform phlebotomy job duties
  • Assist in the supervision of a team of phlebotomists covering multiple Patient Service Centers & client sites
  • Observe new employee performance and report observations to the supervisor
  • Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings
  • Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed
  • Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary
  • Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
  • Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
  • Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and making schedule adjustments as needed
  • Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
  • Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed
