Requirements

  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and phlebotomy best practices
  • Ability to lead with confidence, professionalism, and accountability
  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and safety
  • Comfortable working with EHR systems and data entry tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also operating independently
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current Phlebotomy Certification (required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages (pediatrics through geriatrics)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily phlebotomy operations including staffing, scheduling, training, and supervision
  • Lead and mentor a team to ensure high-quality specimen collection and patient care
  • Develop and maintain systems for: Specimen collection & processing Data entry accuracy Instrument calibration Specialized testing (e.g., stimulation tests, injections)
  • Manage inventory, supplies, and cost control
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and handle complex situations independently
  • Collaborate with providers and leadership to support clinic efficiency and patient flow
  • Support training and oversight of students or trainees when applicable
