About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to join their team in Peabody MA. This role involves traveling to Danvers, Middleton, Lynn, and Newburyport. The Phlebotomy Supervisor will lead a team of over 25 phlebotomists, directly impacting the patient and client experience. This position emphasizes leadership, inspiration, and the development of others, overseeing all aspects of LabCorp patient service centers and designated client locations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be at least 21 years’ old
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years or more as a supervisor or leader of direct reports
  • 5 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • Current or Previous LabCorp experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of (+25) phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices
  • Manage patient flow, wait times, and inventory levels and information logs
  • Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
  • Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking
  • Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisals
  • Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
  • Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions
  • Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
  • Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices
  • Provide resolution of any patient or client issues
  • Perform, collect and prepare specimens when needed
  • Travel to additional sites as necessary
