About The Position

The Phlebotomy Services Rep I works for Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) in Grove, Oklahoma. The role includes collecting specimens from patients of all age groups, both inpatients and outpatients, and completing clerical work and computer data entry. The representative is expected to provide professional, customer-focused service and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The stated schedule is Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with rotating holidays; the employee may also need to adjust their schedule to help cover other shifts.

Requirements

• Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, specimen requirements, and basic computer use is helpful.
• Must comply with DLO safety and compliance policies.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, patients, and staff in person and on the telephone.
• Must have excellent patient service skills.
• Must be able to adjust schedule to help cover other shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required.
• Previous phlebotomy experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
• Experience working with or interacting with patients in a hospital setting is preferred.
