About The Position

This is a 7-Week Training Program. This is an opportunity to apply for admission into the Gulf Coast Blood Academy, a Phlebotomy Apprenticeship Program. Acceptance into the program does not guarantee employment with Gulf Coast Blood upon completion. The Gulf Coast Blood Academy is designed for individuals who are interested in starting a career path in phlebotomy through structured training, hands‑on learning, and skill development. Participants accepted into the Gulf Coast Blood Academy will receive training focused on learning foundational and practical phlebotomy skills and take phlebotomy certification test upon completing the 7-week program. There is a commitment to the 7-weeks for Monday-Friday from 5:30p-9:00p. This program is ideal for individuals who are new to the field, motivated to learn, and passionate about saving lives. Completion of the apprenticeship does not guarantee employment and does not replace Gulf Coast Blood’s standard hiring and selection process for open positions. If hired after the Academy, successful completion of Gulf Coast Blood's phlebotomy training is still required for employment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Education & Criminal background checks will be completed before acceptance into the Academy)
• Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience and an acceptable driving record
• Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with others
