About The Position

The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service at Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role performs venipuncture on patients of all ages, collects and prepares non-blood specimens, ensures appropriate specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering, and supports safety, compliance, and quality control. The position has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI); employees must maintain strict confidentiality and access PHI only as needed to perform their duties.

This is a full-time position scheduled for 35 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is a first-shift role. Sonic Healthcare USA describes its workplace as supportive, inclusive, collaborative, and focused on teamwork and innovation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
