About The Position

The Phlebotomist will perform proper specimen collection by confirming patient ID, collecting specimens in proper tubes, utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques, and accurately labeling the specimens to ensure accurate patient results. They will also provide customer service by answering broad technical questions and directing others to appropriate resources. The role involves managing specimen accessioning accurately and efficiently to provide quality specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate specimen processing to maintain specimen integrity, and performing billing and registration procedures accurately and efficiently to ensure regulatory compliance. Effective communication and cooperation with others are essential to optimize job performance and foster working relationships.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Familiar with computer and office equipment
Organizational and team skills

Nice To Haves

One (1) year phlebotomy experience
Enrollment in phlebotomy certification class or completion of accredited phlebotomy course
Experience with laboratory information systems
Phlebotomy certification
