About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team in Covington, WA. This role is part-time, with a work schedule of Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, with additional hours and rotating Saturdays as needed. The Phlebotomist will perform blood collections, process specimens, handle data entry, manage billing and payments, and provide customer service. Requirements

Valid Washington State-issued Phlebotomy License
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

3 or more months of phlebotomy experience
In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
