About The Position

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is hiring a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Phlebotomist in Pensacola, Florida. The role helps provide lifesaving blood products to local hospitals while ensuring donors have a positive, supportive experience throughout the donation process. Training is provided. This is a full-time position with a varied schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

LifeSouth is a nonprofit community blood center serving more than 150 hospitals across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. Its operations include more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles, and approximately 2,000 blood drives each month. The position requires a criminal background check and drug screen after a conditional offer of hire. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• CDL holders are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections and donor care procedures.
• Ensure donor eligibility and maintain safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the donation process.
• Accurately document donor information.
• Support donor recruitment and scheduling efforts.
• Assist with mobile blood drive operations as needed.
• Work alongside a team dedicated to serving the community.
