Phlebotomist: 24 Hours Per Week (PM/Midnights)
About The Position
Franciscan Health Lafayette East is seeking a Phlebotomist for 24 hours per week, working PM/Midnights. This role is responsible for the collection of blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens. Laboratory office duties include registering patients, entering data into the computer system, specimen accessioning, answering phones, and processing paperwork. Specimen processing involves preparing specimens for testing or shipment. The individual will handle blood, body fluid, and urine specimens, and may perform waived and specified non-waived POC tests. In some facilities, this role may also involve driving to other locations and participating in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record

- Acting as a driver and participating in the on-call rotation (in some facilities, as required)
