Phlebotomist - Floater
About The Position
The Phlebotomist - Floater provides patient care and customer-focused service while performing venipuncture on patients of all ages. The role also involves collecting and preparing non-blood specimens, processing and labeling specimens, and ordering tests. The employee is expected to champion safety, compliance, and quality control, and to protect the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI). The position is based at 4200 Pleasant Valley Road in Chantilly, Virginia. It is full-time and benefit eligible, with 40 scheduled hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, and variable hours between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. This is a first-shift role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
Responsibilities
