About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Floater to work at sites in Waukegan, Gurnee, Round Lake Beach, Zion, North Chicago, and Deerfield. The role is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with hours varying between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., and rotating Saturdays. The position involves working with a variety of patients, team members, clinics, and locations, providing the opportunity to gain experience and develop skills.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
If qualifying through certification or a training program in lieu of work experience, the program or certification must come from an accredited agency.
Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
