About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join its team in Greenville, North Carolina. The role involves providing phlebotomy and specimen collection services across a variety of patients, team members, clinics, and locations. Float phlebotomists can gain broad experience and develop their skills, with opportunities for continued growth within the organization. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours varying between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The position may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Float employees receive an additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Employees regularly scheduled for at least 20 hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits; employees regularly scheduled for fewer than 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan only.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program from an accredited agency, or previous experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
