About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or client office in Suwanee, Georgia. This is a casual, per-diem position with hours as needed and varying start and end times. The role provides customer service, performs specimen collection, and represents Labcorp to patients. Phlebotomists may have opportunities for growth within the organization and may be eligible for a quarterly performance-based PST Incentive Plan bonus. Employees regularly scheduled for fewer than 20 hours per week, as well as casual employees, are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. The position requires reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Phlebotomy certification or completion of a phlebotomy training program.
At least 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist.
If substituting certification or a completed training program for work experience, it must be from an accredited agency.
Demonstrated record of exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
