About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its team in Atlanta, Georgia. The Phlebotomist may work in a Patient Service Center or a client office, providing skilled specimen collection and exceptional customer service while serving as a representative of the company. The role offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break and rotating Saturdays. Travel to additional sites may be needed. Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which provides a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program.
At least 3 years of experience as a phlebotomist.
If qualifying in lieu of work experience, phlebotomy certification or training must be from an accredited agency.
Proven record of providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

At least 5 years of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
