About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to work at Purdy Street in Easton, Maryland, with travel to additional sites when needed. The position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, team members, clinics, and locations, building experience and skills while supporting patient care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with scheduled hours varying between 5:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and rotating Saturdays.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• If relying on certification or a training program instead of work experience, it must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• At least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
