About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN/Casual to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a casual/per diem position with hours as needed, varying from Monday to Friday 6:30 am - 4:30 pm, and weekends. The role involves performing blood collections, handling specimen processing, data entry, and providing customer service. Opportunities for continuous growth within the organization are available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
