About The Position
The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service by performing venipuncture on patients of all ages and collecting and preparing non-blood specimens. The role also involves processing and labeling specimens, ordering tests, and supporting safety, compliance, and quality control. Employees will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI), must maintain strict confidentiality, and may access PHI only when needed to fulfill job duties. This is an as-needed PRN position scheduled for one hour per week and is not benefits eligible.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
