Performs phlebotomy functions and non–technical duties. This role involves performing various types of blood collection, patient identification, specimen labeling, prioritizing STAT draws, utilizing computer systems for order entry and record keeping, organizing workload, assisting coworkers and new employees, adhering to organizational policies, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The phlebotomist will also act as a receptionist when required and is responsible for daily equipment checks and temperature recording.
