Phlebotomist /Float - East, Texas
About The Position
The Phlebotomist / Float position serves the Tyler, Texas area and is a full-time, benefit-eligible, first-shift role. The position provides patient care and customer-focused service, performs venipuncture on patients of all ages, collects and prepares non-blood specimens, and ensures proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering. The role also supports safety, compliance, and quality control. The position has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees receive training on reasonable safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality, follow applicable privacy and security standards, and access PHI only as needed to perform their job duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
