About The Position

The Phlebotomist / Float serves the Tyler, Texas area, providing patient care and customer-focused service. The role performs venipuncture on patients of all ages, collects and prepares non-blood specimens, and ensures proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering. The employee champions safety, compliance, and quality control. This position has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI); employees are trained on safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality, follow applicable privacy and security standards, and access PHI only as needed to fulfill job duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
