About The Position
The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service by performing venipuncture on patients of all ages and collecting and preparing non-blood specimens. The role ensures specimens are properly processed and labeled and that tests are correctly ordered, while championing safety, compliance, and quality control. This PRN position is as needed and is not benefits eligible. The role involves routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI); employees must maintain strict confidentiality, follow applicable privacy and security standards, and access PHI only when required to perform job duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
