About The Position

East Side Clinical Laboratory, Inc., part of Sonic Healthcare USA, is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist in Wakefield. The role focuses on patient care and customer service, performing venipuncture on patients of all ages, collecting and preparing non-blood specimens, and ensuring specimens are processed and labeled correctly and tests are ordered appropriately. The phlebotomist also supports safety, compliance, and quality control. The role has routine access to protected health information (PHI); employees receive training on safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality and access PHI only as needed for their duties. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with alternating weeks of an 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. schedule and a Saturday or Sunday rotation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The position is benefit-eligible and scheduled for 40 hours per week.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
