About The Position
Valley Medical Group is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team and work in our Easthampton Medical Center. If you are looking for a dynamic environment, this is your opportunity! As a Phlebotomist, the candidate must have the ability to collect blood from patients of all ages through venipuncture. A successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, good customer service skills, and be proficient in computers, data entry, and the operation of equipment.
Requirements
- Graduate from a Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program
- Previous customer service or medical office experience
- High School graduate or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- CPT preferred, but not required
- EMR experience preferred, Athena experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Collecting samples from patients of all ages
- Processing and accessions of clinical specimens
- Checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, greeting patients
