Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT/CPT) as outlined in AHS Laboratory SOP Name: Certification Pathway and Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Team lead, the phlebotomist assumes the responsibility for performing venipuncture and related procedures under the philosophy, policies, and procedures established by the hospital and department.
  • The phlebotomist is the departmental ambassador and is responsible for providing excellent customer service.
