About The Position

UW Medicine Primary Care at Issaquah has an outstanding opportunity for a Clinical Laboratory Technician / Phlebotomist! This is a full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week) position with 4x10 hour shifts, 4 days per week. The schedule is flexible, with hours varying between 7:30 am and 8 pm, and will include working 1-2 Saturdays per month and occasional Sundays as needed. The clinic offers personalized care for every stage of life, conveniently located just off I-90 near the Issaquah Transit Center, providing routine checkups, chronic condition management, and treatment for illnesses or injuries.

Requirements

Able to be certified as a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist with the Washington State Department of Health within 90 days of hire.
High School / GED
Minimum one-year relevant experience or training in a clinical laboratory or medical setting (for CLT2)

Responsibilities

Performs routine and stat laboratory tests utilizing automated or semi-automated equipment, kit assays, and microscopic evaluations.
Understands, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots applicable equipment and testing methods.
Performs work accurately and precisely, organizing workload to meet service demands calmly, efficiently, and without direct supervision.
Performs quality control analyses on all tests assigned and determines whether all parameters are within established ranges.
Participates in training and demonstrating routine laboratory techniques to new employees in coordination with the CLT Lead.
May send out letters to patients, as delegated by clinic leadership, with lab results or overdue reminder letters for appointments.
