About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to work in a client office in Walled Lake, Michigan. The Phlebotomist will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and serve as a representative of the company. The role offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization and may include eligibility for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. The schedule is Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., totaling 26 hours per week.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
A Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may be accepted in lieu of work experience.
Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab environment.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to all patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
