About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or client office in Mint Hill, North Carolina. The role provides customer service, performs specimen collections, and serves as a representative of Labcorp. The position offers opportunities for growth within the organization.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with rotating weekends. Phlebotomists may be eligible for quarterly performance-based bonuses through the PST Incentive Plan. Employees regularly scheduled for 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits; employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• If relying on certification or completed training instead of work experience, the program or certification must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
