We offer primary care for all ages in-person, over the phone, and by text message. Community Health Navigators support our members with services beyond just clinical care. At some locations, we also take Medicaid! Healthcare is a family affair. Our goal is to keep mixed-Medicaid eligible families visiting the doctor together and to provide continuity of care as individuals fall in and out of eligibility. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team full-time. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for safely and accurately collecting blood and other specimens from patients while providing a professional, compassionate experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and prioritizes patient safety, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a phlebotomy training program required.
Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
Ability to remain calm and professional when working with patients who may be nervous or uncomfortable with blood draws.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Nice To Haves

Current phlebotomy certification preferred, based on applicable state requirements.
Previous phlebotomy or healthcare experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections safely and accurately.
Verify patient identification and ensure specimens are properly labeled and handled.
Prepare patients for blood draws and explain procedures to help ease anxiety or discomfort.
Follow established infection control, safety, and specimen-handling procedures.
Process and transport specimens according to laboratory requirements.
Maintain accurate patient and specimen documentation.
Monitor and maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
Provide professional and compassionate patient service.
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, laboratory staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
